Reflection: Am i prepared to die?

Sunday Whispers has been on

Un-announced rest.

A deliberate time to think and reflect.

Fate reinforced the rest

When the patriarch passed on.

Grappling with the loss,

And with preparations for burial,

Took time, energy

And emotional toll.

Dad had been sick for some time.

He had also ripened to 82 years.

The priest said the Bible gives us 70.

So he had many bonus years,

And the blessing of a full and eventful life.

But, for many reasons I can't put here,

I know he still struggled with 

Acceptance and release.

That got me thinking.

We all know we'll ultimately die.

Why then do we struggle with it?

How do we prepare for death?

Am I prepared to die?

Are you?
