Step
out.
Step
out in courage,
And
see the other side of town.
The
other side of the valley.
The
other side of the globe.
Step
out into that trip you’ve always wanted.
Drive
out into the wild.
Hike
the hills.
Trek
the trails.
Camp
out under the starry skies.
Tap
dance your way into adventure!
Step
out in curiosity.
Question
everything;
May
be it works better upside-down,
Or
inside-out, or hanging from the ceiling...
How
the hell will you know,
Unless
you step out and find out?
Step
out from your routine,
And
see how the world magically changes,
Right
in front of your eyes.
Step
out and look keenly into your habits,
And
see the little strings that tie you down,
From
reaching excellence and significance.
Step
out of your comfort zone,
And
follow your heart,
And
feel the joy and peace that floods your soul.
Step
out and listen to an alternative perspective,
Reflect
on your life and work a little more, and more regularly.
We
don’t know everything,
And
we can’t possibly know everything.
Sometimes
we are wrong. Sometimes we are right.
But
no one will listen to our ‘right’,
Or
know how wrong we are,
Until
we first learn to listen, reflect and understand.
Step
out and learn something new,
Even
if it doesn’t add dollars in your pocket.
It’s
not the dollar that’s important
It’s
the spirit and courage of stepping out.
Don’t
get complacent. Stay hungry!
Step
out of ‘what will people think?’
And
‘suppose it fails?’
And
join the ranks of the passionate, the faithful,
And
the ‘I’ll figure it out somehow!’
Step
out of thinking in straight lines
And
expecting perfect answers,
That
fit neatly and tightly like a glove.
It’s
all wavy and circuitous -
There
is more grey than black and white;
And
more unknown unknowns, than we care to admit.
Dance
with it anyway!
This
year, step out and heed the urge,
The
twitch, the ache, the yearning...
And
show up
To
meet the angel that’s been seeking you out!
Bloom
where you are planted!
